The Uncommon Reader by Alan Bennett

The Queen accidentally reads a novel and becomes obsessed with reading, much to the annoyance of her staff and family. A short, amusing tale of the dangers of loving books.

I really liked this book, but the end, not so much. I don't know how I could have made it better, but then I am not an English writer. The prose was excellent, and the subject matter makes me realize that I am a bit of an Anglophile (but not overly so).
